The Story Behind Myrtle’s

Myrtle’s Fur Vault & Bar is a vintage-inspired bar and restaurant in downtown Sioux Falls, housed in the Fry Furs Building on the Ballard Block in the historic district. Myrtle’s blends timeless design with modern spirit—honoring Myrtle and Parker Newcomb. A hidden speakeasy, chef-driven menu, and rare spirits make it a best new restaurant and bar in Sioux Falls.

Restoring Historic Sioux Falls
Housed in the original Fry Furs building, Myrtle’s honors the craftsmanship of 1930s Sioux Falls—from restored brickwork and vintage brass details to the original fur vault beneath our feet. We’ve reimagined the downstairs space as a hidden speakeasy and private dining room, perfect for events, jazz nights, and unforgettable evenings.

Inspired by Myrtle & Parker
The spirit of Myrtle’s began with a love story. Myrtle met Lt. Colonel Parker Newcomb in Madison before WWII. Their names live on through Parker’s Bistro and our vintage bar, where heirloom photographs and timeless hospitality create an atmosphere filled with romance and charm.

The Fur Vault
Tucked behind an unmarked door, our hidden speakeasy is built inside the restored Fry Furs fur vault—now transformed into an intimate dining space. Candlelit tables, rare spirits, and vintage decor create an unforgettable setting for private dinners, celebrations, or your next perfectly poured cocktail.

Cocktail Craft, the Myrtle’s Way
Our bar is a tribute to the art of cocktail making. From house infusions to hand-cut ice and barrel-aged classics, every detail is designed to elevate your drink. Whether you prefer a smoky Old Fashioned or a floral gin spritz, Myrtle’s delivers some of the finest cocktails in Sioux Falls.
