A Vintage Bar and Lounge with a Rich Sioux Falls Story
Serving rare spirits, timeless style, and Sioux Falls history by the glass.

From Fur Vault to Velvet Bar
Myrtle’s is located in the Fry Building—originally home to Fry’s Fur Vault, a 1920s-era storage facility where Sioux Falls locals safeguarded their finest furs. We preserved the original vault and architectural charm to create a moody, velvet-draped cocktail lounge filled with history and style.
Inspired by Real Love & Legacy
Myrtle’s is named after Myrtle Newcomb, wife of Lt. Colonel Parker Newcomb—namesake of Parker’s Bistro next door. After serving in the Pacific Theatre during WWII, Parker returned to South Dakota, where he and Myrtle built a life of hospitality, love, and community. You’ll find a photo of the two behind our bar—he in uniform, she in fur. Their spirit lives in every cocktail we serve and every velvet booth we welcome you into.

Speakeasy Soul Meets Downtown Style
Downstairs from our main lounge, we restored and converted the building’s original vault into a hidden speakeasy—now home to live jazz nights, private parties, corporate events, and rehearsal dinners. Upstairs, the cocktail bar channels the spirit of the jazz age with exposed brick, candlelight, and classic vinyl spinning nightly.

Connected to Parker’s—Designed to Complement
While Parker’s Bistro offers refined dining and white-tablecloth romance, Myrtle’s brings the afterglow: cocktails, conversation, and vintage ambiance. Guests can transition between both venues through our private connecting hallway.
